Omar Abdullah dismisses BJP’s ‘Shadow Cabinet’ claim, vows to fulfill promises

Srinagar, March 01 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday dismissed the BJP’s claim of forming a ‘shadow cabinet’ in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that no such concept exists anywhere in the country.
He asserted that his government remains the only legitimate cabinet in the Union Territory and is committed to fulfilling its promises to the people.
“There is only one cabinet which functions under my leadership. The shadow cabinet does not exist anywhere in the country. We will fulfill all the promises we have made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar, reported news agency KINS.
His remarks came in response to the BJP’s assertion that it had established a parallel ‘shadow cabinet’ to oversee governance and hold the administration accountable. The Chief Minister dismissed the move as irrelevant, stating that his government is actively working to address public concerns.
Omar Abdullah also chaired a high-level meeting with top officials to ensure the uninterrupted supply of electricity, water, and essential commodities during the holy month of Ramadan. He directed the administration to take necessary measures to provide adequate sanitation and other facilities to the people. (KINS)
