CIK conducts raids in terror-linked case involving “terrorism, terror glorification and radicalisation for recruitment”

KINS Desk

Srinagar, Nov 18 (KINS): Counter intelligence Kashmir (CIK) raids launched in multiple locations today in the Kashmir Valley are linked to a case against “individuals involved in terrorism, glorifying terrorists, and radicalization with the aim of recruitment into terrorist ranks”, official sources said.

They said that searches were backed by search warrants from the competent court.

Highly placed official sources told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that the searches at multiple locations across the Valley was part of a newly registered case “targeting individuals involved in terrorism, glorification of terrorists, and radicalisation aimed at recruitment into militant ranks”.

The searches, backed by warrants issued by a competent court, were conducted in Srinagar, Anantnag and Kulgam.

Sources said the operation is part of an intensified crackdown on networks promoting extremist ideology and facilitating recruitment.

Authorities have clarified that the ongoing searches are not linked to the recently uncovered “white-collar” terror module or the Delhi blast case.

Further details on the recoveries and possible arrests are awaited as the operation was still underway when this report was filed . (KINS)
