Srinagar, May 26 (KINS): Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General of the NCC, along with Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and discussed measures to further strengthen NCC outreach and youth engagement across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, both sides explored avenues to empower the youth through leadership development, discipline, character building and nation-building initiatives under the National Cadet Corps framework. The interaction reaffirmed a shared commitment towards creating greater opportunities for the younger generation and encouraging their active participation in national development.(KINS)
