Srinagar, June 30: Gen Upendra Dwivedi took over as the 30th Chief of the Army Staff, succeeding Gen Manoj Pande, who retired from service.
Prior to becoming the Vice Chief of the Army Staff on February 19, Gen Dwivedi served as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command from 2022 to 2024.
