161 Territorial Army concludes successful recruitment drive in Sheeri, Baramulla

Srinagar, Nov 17 (KINS): The 161 Territorial Army (TA) has successfully concluded its week-long recruitment drive in Sheeri, Baramulla, held from 11 to 17 November 2024.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with thousands of aspirants braving challenging weather to showcase their dedication to serving the nation.
The recruitment drive, organized with precision and transparency, attracted a record-breaking 23,000 participants from diverse backgrounds. The remarkable turnout underscored the patriotic fervor and strong community support for the armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We are immensely proud of the exceptional talent and enthusiasm displayed by the youth,” said Major General P.S. Punia, General Officer Commanding, 19 Infantry Division. “This recruitment drive is a testament to their dedication to serving the country. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who contributed to its success.”
Approximately 23,000 candidates attended, showcasing their resilience and commitment despite adverse weather conditions.
The recruitment drive was conducted with the highest standards of transparency, ensuring a smooth and efficient selection process.
Participants expressed their gratitude to the Commanding Officer, 161 TA, and the local administration for organizing such an impactful event. The selected candidates will now proceed to the next phase, a written examination, as they aspire to join the esteemed ranks of the Territorial Army.(KINS)
