11-Year-Old Tennis Star Erin Mir Makes History in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KINS): 11-year-old Erin Mir from Jammu and Kashmir has made history by becoming the first player from the state to enter the top 10 in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Girls Under 12 rankings. Currently ranked 7th in India, Erin also holds the top position in her home state.
Erin’s journey began on September 12, 2022, when she started competing in the AITA Girls Under 12 category with a ranking of 467. Through hard work and dedication, she has quickly risen through the ranks.
In addition to her success in the Under 12 category, Erin is also ranked 52nd in the Girls Under 14 category nationwide, and she is number one in Jammu and Kashmir in that group. She broke into the top 100 in the Under 14 rankings on December 23, 2024.
Erin’s success is a result of her talent, hard work, and love for tennis. She continues to inspire young players in Jammu and Kashmir and across the country.(KINS)
