Srinagar, Feb 25 (KINS): The world-famous Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, nestled in the foothills of the Zabarwan Range overlooking Dal Lake, is likely to open for tourists after March 20.
News agency KINS reported that this year, the garden will showcase a breathtaking display of 1.7 million tulip bulbs, including two new exotic varieties imported from the Netherlands.
Spread over 30 hectares, the Tulip Garden is the largest in Asia and a major attraction for visitors in Jammu and Kashmir.
The garden boasts over 70 varieties of tulips, adding vibrant hues to the landscape as spring arrives in the Valley.
The introduction of new tulip varieties is expected to further enhance its beauty, attracting a record number of tourists and nature lovers.
The Tulip Garden has become a key driver of tourism in Srinagar, with thousands of visitors arriving each year to witness the short yet mesmerizing bloom.
