Police conduct awareness programs on New Criminal Laws in Anantnag

Srinagar, March 01 (KINS): To enhance public understanding of newly enacted criminal laws, the Police in Anantnag organized a series of awareness programs across the district. These sessions, held under the supervision of jurisdictional officers, saw active participation from legal experts, civil society members, and local residents.

The programs focused on key changes in criminal laws, their impact on law enforcement and the public, and the importance of legal compliance for a just and secure society. Officers emphasized the need for awareness to ensure effective law enforcement and safeguard citizens’ rights.

Senior police officers reaffirmed the department’s commitment to community-oriented policing and legal education, encouraging citizens to seek clarifications on new legal provisions when needed.
