Leader of opposition Sunil Sharma slams J&K Budget for ignoring marginalized communities
Jammu, Mar 7 (KINS): Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Sharma, has strongly criticized the recently presented J&K budget, alleging that it fails to address the concerns of daily wage labourers, the unemployed, and marginalized communities, including OBCs, SCs, and STs.
Speaking to reporters, Sharma questioned the budget’s inclusivity and its lack of concrete measures for the most vulnerable sections of society. “What has Omar Abdullah kept in this budget for daily wage labourers and the unemployed? During the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, 45,000 people secured direct and indirect employment in J&K. However, this budget offers nothing for them. There are no provisions for the OBC, SC, or ST communities, and none of the promises made to the people are reflected in it,” he asserted.(KINS)
