Tribal areas in Bandipora are victims of neglect: Bhat

Bandipora, Apr 2,:  Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has said that tribal areas in Bandipore are victims of neglect and people living here suffer badly for want of basic amenities.

Addressing workers meetings at Panar and Kudara, Bhat said that areas have no connectivity, very few healthcentres, no adequate power supply and no adequate drinking water facility.

Bhat said several tribal habitations in Bandipore have been deprived of aanganwari centres and ration depots and people live in miserable conditions.

He said many pro-poor schemes have not reached as yet and there is very little development.

Referring to economic growth Bhat said even traditional resource of Gojar community in the animal sector is squeezing.

He demanded that enough funds should reach to raise their stock.

The meetings were also attended by PDP district president Bandipora, Ghulam Nabi Tantrey, senior local leaders Mohammad Maqbool and Mian Noorani.
