2nd Sample collection centre for COVID – 19 established at Trauma Hospital Bijbehara in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, APRIL 13:  One more sample collection centre was established at newly constructed  Trauma hospital Bijbehara, Anantnag,  which has been already turned into a quarantine centre, today.

Briefing the media, the District Magistrate, Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar, said that the 2nd  sample collection centre for COVID – 19 suspects will lighten the burden on GMC Anantnag, which was the single sample collection centre for COVID – 19 till today for twin districts of  Anantnag and Kulgam.

He added that it will help in aggressive and random sample collection. The capacity of Trauma Hospital turned quarantine centre at Bijbehara has been enhanced from 70 to 110 beds and will be further enhanced as per the requirement.  Appealing people to make the the lockdown successful, avoiding gatherings, maintaining social distance and wearing masks, the DM said that the COVID – 19 pandemic can be contained by the joint efforts of people and administration and following advisories is imperative.

Meanwhile, 71 persons were received by district administration Anantnag today at Jawahar Tunnel who completed their quarantine successfully in Sambha district and were sent for home quarantine.
