Participation of people bedrock for effective dvelopment, welfare governance: Dr. Abid
Visits panchayat Halqa Kaskoot, Banihal on inaugural day of B2V3


Srinagar, Oct 02 (KINS):- Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today said that emowering panchayats and bridging the gap between public and administration for efficient and smooth public service delivery is fundamental objective of B2V3 programme.
Dr. Abid made these comments while visiting Panchayat Halqa Kaskoot, Block Banihal of district Ramban on the inaugural day of B2V3 programme.
Addressing a gathering of locals on the ocassion, Dr. Abid said that B2V3 programme is vital for achieving efficient and welfare governance from the grass root level. He asked the general public to come forward with their developmental aspirations and needs to the administration as such programmes have been launched to ensure prompt and hassle free public service delivery besides involving them in decision making and playing their part in mission of equitable development. The visiting officer laid special emphasis on role and importance of youth in development. He told the gathering that youth are the most valuable assest of the society and they are the one who are going to shoulder the progress of development.
Today’s program included a special interaction session with female students , including a mentorship lecture given to the girl students.
During today’s program, large number of locals, PRI representatives and others presented several issues. The group of officers listened to each of them patiently and assured them of appropriate redressal
Different locations of the panchayat halqa were visited for getting a first hand appraisal of the issues and problems faced by the locals. The visiting officer also went door to door to many households and interacted with them.
The officer visited Primary Health centre kaskoot and took a detailed review of facilities available there.
He also took a detailed education sector meeting at Govt HS Kaskoot wherein he had an elaborate interaction with the students.
First day of B2V3 culminated with taking a review of functioning of various govt institutions in presence of locals.
