DC Kupwara expresses deep sorrow over Tarathpora incident

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 17 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited the home of Ghulam Mohammad Wani who lost his daughter during a mysterious blast in his house last night at Tarathpora village.

On the occasion, the DC expressed his deep sorrow over the incident and shared sympathies with the bereaved family over the loss of their daughter and sustaining injuries.

The DC provided Rs.50,000 relief to the family under District Red Cross.

Meanwhile, all injured persons have been referred from District Hospital Handwara to SMHS and SKIMS Srinagar for undergoing advanced treatment.

It was informed that a mysterious blast occurred in the house of Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Tarathpora village, last night, which resulted in the death of his daughter Shabnam and severe injuries to other eight family members. DDC member Ramhal, and Tehsildar Vilgam also accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
