Authorities realise fine of Rs. 85k from FBOs at Kulgam

KULGAM, SEPT 23 ( KINS): The Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather who is also Adjudication Officer Kulgam today recovered a fine of Rs 85000 from various Food Business Operators (FBOs) of the district for violating various provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act-2006 Rules 2011.

The court of Adjudicating Officer Kulgam (ADC) imposed a fine for sale of substandard, misbranded items and operating in unhygienic conditions in the district.

During the trial, the Adjudicating Officer also directed Food Business Operators to strictly adhere to the provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act and desist from any illegal act in future.

Meanwhile, the Food Safety Officer has reiterated to fully enforce the act on ground and warned that any violation of the provisions of FS&SA by FBO shall be dealt with strictly.( KINS)
