Chief Secretary visits border areas in Nowshera, interacts with people 

RAJOURI, MARCH 01: Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam today visited various areas in Nowshera sector affected by shelling from across the Line of Control.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary interacted with people hailing from Ganiah, Kalsian and Bhawani and other areas.
The Chief Secretary was apprised of several issues like immediate constructions of new individual and community bunkers, compensation for the damages caused to the residential structures and in the cases of injury, loss of life and livestock. He assured the people that a decision shall be taken to evolve a mechanism for expediting the construction of Border Bunkers.
The Chief Secretary also inspected some of bunkers constructed/under construction in various villages along the Line of Control.
The Chief Secretary was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, DIG, Rajouri-Poonch range, Vivek Gupta, Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani, Vinod Bhel, Additional SP, Girdhari Lal, Tehsildar Nowshera and Block Development officer, Nowshera.
