Continuing its action against the social crimes,Srinagar police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor.
During naka checking at Pantha Chowk,party of police station Pantha Chowk led by SHO Pantha Chowk Inspector Shri Mohammad Ayub Rather intercepted an Alto-800 bearing registration number JK03E 2534.On checking, huge illicit liquor was recovered from the vehicle and* *one accused namely Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh S/o. Ghulam Hasan Sheikh R/o. Dethu Anantnag arrested .
In this regard FIR No. 14/2019 u/s 48 Excise Act stands registered in Police Station Pantha Chowk and investigation taken up.
General public has applauded this police action.
