March 27: In its endeavor to build strong relations with public, Srinagar police organized a police public meeting at Telbal Adda Hazratbal. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Zakoora Shri Sajad Ahmad Malik, SHO PS Nigeen was also present on the occasion.
Respectable citizens who participated in the meeting raised several issues including ‘providing of sufficient space for sumo & matador stands’, etc. The chairing officer assured the participants that their issues will be redressed on priority basis.
During the meeting, participants hailed police action against encroachments, drug peddlers, gamblers and other social crimes and have assured their full cooperation in eradicating such evils in the area.“`
