Tassaduq Rasheed is new president for Anantnag Working Journalists Association

Srinagar, Mar 29 : Anantnag Working Journalists Association on Friday conducted elections in which Kashmir News Service (KNS) Bureau Chief South Kashmir, Tassaduq Rashid was elected as President of the association.

Tassaduq had two rivals including Zahoor Rizvi and Sameer Rehmani in the elections that were conducted through secret ballot.

Fida Hussain, another scribe was elected as General Secretary in the elections.

At least 44 members took part in the election process who casted ballots today to elect their representative.

The elections were conducted under the observation of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag Khalid Jehangir and Tehsildar Ali Muhammad.
