Brief exchange of firing in Tral

 

Srinagar, April 07: A brief exchange of firing has been reported in Branpathry Kahlil area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday morning.

Reports reaching said that a joint team of Army’s 42 RR, 180 BN of CRPF and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Branpathry Kahlil.

A senior Police officer told that there was a brief exchange of firing between militants and goverment forces in Branpathry kahlil.

The officer further said that its a forest area, right now there is no exchange of firing going on but the forces have tightened cordon.

As per the sources two to three militants of JeM are believed to be trapped.(GNS).
