Srinagar: Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed shock over the incident in Bandipora where a girl committed suicide after being raped by her father.
Kashmir chief cleric took to his Twitter handle and said the incident reflected ‘moral degradation of our society”, “Deeply shocked over this shameful and shocking incident,it reflects the moral degradation in sections of our society which is highly unfortunate. it’s the responsibility of one and all among us to protect our moral and social fabric so that such disgraceful acts aren’t repeated.” He wrote.
A girl committed suicide after being allegedly raped by her father in Chatar area of Bandipora District. According to reports, police has taken dead body after receiving a complaint to the hospital to conduct the post-mortem, while the accused father has been arrested by Chatar Police Station.
