Srinagar, May 23,: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kashmir unit, Thursday burst firecrackers and distributed sweets outside its party office here in Jawahar Nagar to celebrate electoral victory in India.
BJP senior leader Khalid Jahangir said that BJP under Narendra Modi is a force to reckon with. Modi believes in development and positivity. He doesn’t harp on rhetoric. Khalid Jahangir said that BJP will emerge as a strong force in Kashmir in coming years.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said the credit for the victory went to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all workers of the party. “Modi’s dynamic leadership and the commitment for the welfare of people has given the party the mandate to form the government for the second consecutive time. People have strong faith in the BJP that is reason for the party winning by a huge margin,” he said, adding that it was only possible because of the good governance, development and corruption-free atmosphere.
