UJC chief Syed Salahuddin pays tribute to Zakir Musa 

Srinagar, May 25 : United Jihad Council (UJC) chief and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Supremo Syed Salahuddin on Saturday paid glowing tributes to slain militant commander Zakir Musa.

The Hizb chief in a statement issued to news agency said despite Hizb’s strategic difference with the slain commander, “it is a fact that Zakir Musa sacrificed his life for the glory of Islam and the freedom of Kashmir”.

Syed Salahuddin, as per the statement, was addressing a meeting of the Hizb Command Council.

He said: “The Kashmiri people are fighting a war of freedom against the Indian occupation. History is witness that had India not reneged from its kept promises with Kashmiris and given them their right to choose their destiny, there would have been no such war.”

“This war of Kashmir people and the Mujahideen will continue, and the sacrifices will bear fruit,” he said.

During the meeting, condolences were offered to Syeda Raja Haqaani, the sister of Syed Salahuddin, who passed away on Friday. (GNS)
