4 Health Dept employees put under suspension over trauncy

Rajouri, June 06 : Block Medical Officer Kandi in Rajouri district on Thursday suspended four staffers over unauthorised absence from duties.

Reports reaching said that BMO Kandi, Dr. Iqbal Malik conducted surprise visits to two health centres in the district. On inspection one Health sub-centre Prorri was found locked at around 11:20 am.

On enquiring, the official was informed by the locals that the said health centre often remains closed. It is pertinent to mention here that the said health centre was also closed two days back over negligence of duties.

Taking a strong notice of trauncy, all the employees were put under suspension and attached with CHC Kandi with immediate effect, reports said.

The suspended employees included; Pharmacist Mohammad Aslam, FMPHW Zareena Begum and Shaheena Akhter and Sweeper Mohammad Bashir.

BMO also visited Primary Health Centre Peeri which was found working satisfactorily, reports added.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr. Sunil Sharma while talking to said that the “government has adopted zero tolerance against the dereliction of duties by employees.”

He further directed the employees “to perform their duties regularly in letter and spirit to ensure prompt and quality services to the general public.” (GNS)
