Arrested youth before joining militancy returned back home in Ananthnag : Police

Police on Wednesday claimed to have handed over five youth to their families who were arrested before joining militancy ranks in southern region of Kashmir.

A police official told Kashmir Indepth that five misguided youth were handed over to their families who after left home were on way to join militant outfit groups were apprehended by police in South Kashmir.

Officer said that on Wednesday after proper counseling all the five misguided youth were handed to their families in presence of SSP Ananthnag Altaf Ahmed Khan, SDM Kokernag , SP operations and large gathering of people.

Pertinent to mention here that security forces in Kashmir are fighting hard to save the youth from getting indulged in ill issues of society.
