Qazigund, Feb 11 : One person died while two others were injured after a vehicle in which they were traveling in met with an accident at Qazigund area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday morning.
Reports reaching to wire service—said that a vehicle bearing registration number JK03F-8130 skidded off the road near Toll Post, Qazigund, resulting in injuries to three persons.
Official sources said that all the three injured persons were taken to Emergency Hospital Qazigund where one of them was declared brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Khanday, son of Ghulam Ahmad Khanday, resident of Vailoo Kokarnag.
The injured was identified as Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, son of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, resident of Lessu Kokarnag and Taseena Sajad daughter of Sajad Ahmad Khanday, resident of Vailoo Kokarnag.
A police officer said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.
