Covid- 19: DM Kishtwar reviews facilities at quarantine centres

KISHTWAR, MARCH 31: District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara today visited various designated quarantine centres at the district headquarter and took stock of various facilities there. The district administration has established various quarantine centres in the district to tackle any unprecedented emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic.

He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar along with the designated Nodal Officers of the Quarantine centres.

During the inspection, the DM took stock of the bedding facilities, power, water, hygiene and also inspected toilets and washing rooms of these quarantine centres.

District administration has identified some buildings for additional quarantine centres outside the premises of District Hospital Kishtwar at various designated public and private schools  for which beds and other allied facilities like dunlops, pillows, bed sheets, towels, bucket, mugs etc has already been procured by the administration.

DM stressed upon the Nodal officers deputed at various quarantine centres to follow the specified SOPs like proper spacing between two beds, sanitary measures, separate entrance and exit points etc.

He asked the concerned Nodal officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, clean water, hygienic food, sanitization and essentials supplies to those living in these centres.

Meanwhile, the DM also inspected quarantine centre at NHPC Colony and defence Hospital at Semina Colony and directed the Nodal Officer to keep these centres ready in all aspects.
