“Hope this festival brings, peace, prosperity in J&K”
SRINAGAR, April 12: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Sundaygreeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi.
In a message issued here, a spokesman of JKAP, expressed hope that the festival will be celebrated in true spirit of the J&K’s composite culture.
“JKAP prays for peace and tranquility in the region and hopes that festival of Baisakhi will further strengthen the bonds of love among people and nurture amity and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesman added.
He said that the festival symbolizes harvesting of the hard labour and celebrating it with harmony and brotherhood which adds colour to its festivity.
“This festival marks the beginning of the New Year and commencement of the harvesting season, when farmers reap the fruit of their hard work,” the JKAP spokesman said, adding that the celebration of this festival is a shining example of J&K”s glorious pluralistic traditions.
