Awantipora Police arrests 03 individuals for stalking and harassing a minor girl

May 26: Acting tough against the social crimes Awantipora Police arrested three individuals for stalking, harassing a minor girl.

Police Station Khrew has received a complaint from one person regarding stalking and harassment of his minor daughter by three individual since one month. According case FIR No. 23/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Khrew and investigation taken up.

Subsequently, during the course of investigation officers from Police Station Khrew have arrested all the three accused individuals identified as Irfan Ahmad Najar, Tawseef Ahmad Joo both resident of Wuyan and Mudasir Ashraf resident of Chandhara. They have been shifted to Police Station Khrew where they remain in custody.

Community members are requested to inform the police about the presence of antisocial elements in their neighbourhood. Police have resolved to act tough against such elements and ensure the community members to feel safe.
