Army man killed as Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in Rajouri

Rajouri, June 22 : An Army man was killed as the armies of India and Pakistan on Monday morning exchanged heavy gunfire along Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.

Official sources told news agency—, that on Monday morning at around 5 AM, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing in Kalal area of Nowshera sector and fired heavy mortar shelling and small arms.

“Unprovoked firing and shelling by Pakistan Army was retaliated befittingly by Indian Army, resulting in a fierce exchange of both gunfire and mortar shelling between the two sides,” sources said.

Intermittent firing and was shelling was  going on in the area when the report was last filed.

Meanwhile, sources said that an Army man was killed in the ceasefire violation.

“An army man received injuries during the ceasefire violation following which he succumbed to his injuries,” they said—(KNO)
