The army also said that it was on the path of peace and prosperity in Kashmir.

According to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) talking to reporters, Brigadier Vijay Mahadev of 1 Sector RR said that this year there have been a number of successful operations in which intent was to “neutralize the militancy leadership, to ensure that young minds are prevented from getting polluted.”

He said, “Bijbehara, Anantnag incident was an act of frustration because militants are feeling frustrated due to the back to back successful operations by the army and other forces. They fired indiscriminately killing a CRPF man and a six-year-old boy in a barbaric act,” he said.

The army officers said that some young minds were lured into militancy unfortunately and now the efforts are on to bring them back. (KINS)
