Medical team attacked in Bl’a

Srinagar, July 20 :  A medical team was allegedly attacked in a village in Baramulla during sampling drive on Monday. 

The incident took place when several doctors have been allegedly beaten by attendants in various hospitals of Srinagar. 

An official told told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that a team from Kunzar hospital had gone to Ogmuna village in Tangmarg for sample collection for COVID testing.  However locals showed resentment and instead attacked the medical team. 

“Doctors and paramedics who are on the forefront are being abused and attacked. Our team was attacked in Tangmarg which is very unfortunate,” BMO Kunzar Dr Ruqaya said.

 “Doctors and paramedics are on the forefront to fight the COVID but we have face tough times while doing our duties,” she added. (KINS)
