Al-Badr Militant rescued: Police

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have rescued a militant belonging to militant outfit Al-Badr.

In a statement issued here, a police spokesperson said, “After the hectic efforts and by virtue of some good sources, Police has been able to rescue one militant who had joined proscribed militant outfit Al Badr sometime back. The endeavourer of police has been to save life and property during confrontation while dealing with the terrorism,”

He further said, “Without any gunfight or loss of life/property, the number of militants got down by one which is being pursued by police whenever feasible. The said policy of saving life has given encouraging response and results,”
