LeT module busted in Awantipora, arms, cash and ammunition recovered

Awantipora: Jammu and Kashmir police have bused a LeT module in Awantipora and has recovered arms and ammunition.

Issuing a statement, police said that based on the credible input at about presence of militants of proscribed outfit LeT in the forest area of Badro Barsoo, Awantipora Police along with 50RR and 130 BN CRPF launched a search in the said forest area during the night hours of 12/13 August.

During search in the early morning hours two hideouts of proscribed out fit LeT were busted and destroyed.

Incriminating material and huge cache of explosive material and ammunition have been recovered from the busted and destroyed hide outs which include :
Ammunition AK 47, 1918 rounds, two Hand Grenades, one Ubgl thrower,, 4 Ubgl grenades, half a bag of ammonium nitrate like substance, five gelatin sticks, crude pipe bomb, code sheet 3 number,Indian currency Rs 5400/= ( five thousand and four hundred), food items , utensils, gas stoves, gas cylinder and other material.

Where as case FIR number 106/2020
U/S 18, 20, 23 ULAP , 4 Explosive substance Act ,7/25 Arms Act stands registered at police station Awantipora.
