Div Com Jammu resolves public issues at Jan Sunwai camp
Also reviews progress on Pakal Dul power project


JAMMU, OCTOBER 15: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today held a Jan Sunwai camp and listened to public grievances.
On the occasion, scores of public delegations, individuals participated and put forth their demands and issues sought early redress of the same.
The deputations, individuals apprised the Div Com about their issues pertaining to land cases, delay in issuance of domiciles, rehabilitation and other issues of public concern.
The Div Com gave a patience hearing to all the deputations, individuals and resolved most of the issues on the spot, while for others he directed the concerned officers for looking into the matter for resolving them within stipulated time. He also assured the public that all their genuine demands would be redressed at the earliest.
Additional Commissioner Jammu, besides other concerned officers were also present at the Jan Sunwai.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner convened a video conference meeting to review the issues pertaining to the power project Pakal Dul in Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by the functionaries of Chenab Valley Power Project and other concerned while Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar along with other concerned officer attended the meeting through video conferencing.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues pertaining to the project. It was informed in the meeting that the work is in progress on the Pakal Dul project.
The Div Com reviewed the progress on disbursement of land compensation amount among the land owners whose land has been acquired for the project. The ADC Kishtwar apprised the Div Com about the status of disbursement of compensation. It was informed that most of the compensation amount has been disbursed while remaining would be released soon. The Div Com asked the district administration to expedite the process and complete the remaining disbursement at the earliest.
The executing agencies informed that the work on the project is going on smoothly.
