Div Com takes stock of firewood supply for winter season


Srinagar, Nov 02 (KINS): The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Pandurang K Pole today visited the PC Depot Srinagar to take stock of the supply of firewood to Kashmir and Ladakh divisions.
During the visit, the Div Com was informed that about 60,000 quintals of firewood has been dumped at Central PC Depot Qamarwari for supply across Kashmir for the ongoing winter season.
It was also informed that the supply of firewood to Ladakh has been also completed as per the intend placed by Leh Forest Division.
The Div Com also took stock of the supply of firewood to 1400 mosques registered with Waqf Board, Srinagar besides bonafide requirements of other agencies including Shamshan Bhoomi, Church and other institutions.
He stressed on the timely supply of firewood to all locations as per the demand across Kashmir.
The Div Com was accompanied by Chief Conservator Forests, Kashmir, Conservator Forests Srinagar and Divisional Forest Officer Srinagar.(KINS)
