DDC Elections Phase-II: Zonal, Sector Magistrates briefed about role, responsibilities


Srinagar, Nov 29 (KINS): Zonal, Sector Magistrates for the Phase II of District Development Council and Panchayat by polls were today briefed about their role and responsibilities during the elections.
The District Election Authority, on the directions of DPEO, Dr Sagar D Doifode, organised a meeting of Zonal and Sector magistrates and Officers, here at Conference Hall of DC office.
The Dy DEO and Master Trainer briefed the officers about their role and responsibilities in the election process. They instructed them to follow instructions of ECI in letter and spirit.
The Dy DEO also instructed duty magistrates to work in close coordination and update the District Election Authority about the latest positions on law & order and remain vigilant during the election process.
He also stressed upon timely update of issues if any and submission of desired information well in time.
The zonal magistrates were also directed to ensure that all the SOPs guidelines are followed during elections to avoid the risk of COVID19 infection.
Those present at the meeting were Election Observer Kewal Kumar, Dy DEO Mohd Idrees Lone, DIO  Mohammad Ashraf Wani, UT level Master Trainer Fayaz Ahmed Mehta, besides other concerned officials.(KINS)
