DC Bla convenes meeting of DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons for finalisation of plan under PMGSY-III

Baramulla Feb 12 (KINS): In taking forward the priority of UT administration in adopting participatory and de-centralised approach in real sense, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Friday convened the meeting of DDC members and BDC Chairpersons of the district for consultation on upgradation of roads under PMGSY-III.
At the outset of the meeting, the DDC members and the BDC Chairpersons appraised their developmental aspirations pertaining to their respective jurisdictions. They also gave their valuable suggestions and feedbacks with regard to their developmental concerns.
The DC gave a patient hearing and assured full cooperation and support on the part of District administration to Panchayat bodies. He highlighted their role in development pursuits and said that they constitute important stakeholders in the administrative setup who are mandated to ensure socio-economic development at the grass root level.
Moreover, DC urged upon them to play a proactive and constructive role at the ground level for the larger benefit of the society.
A threadbare deliberation on PMGSY plan was held wherein the concerned stakeholders were asked to put forth their recommendations for its necessary approval.
During the meeting, Executive Engineer PMGSY Circle Baramulla gave a detailed power point presentation wherein he presented salient features of the plan. (KINS)
