SAMBA, MARCH 05: District administration Samba today felicitated girl students under Beti bachao Beti Padhao scheme for excelling and taking part in various sports events, here at a function.
District Development Commissioner, Rohit Kahjuria gave away mementos and certificates to the winners of the different sports events including cricket, Kabbadi, badminton and volleyball.
The sports events were organised under Beti Bachao Beti padho programme to promote girl child rights by department of youth services and sports under supervision of district officer DYSSO Kiran Jyoti.
The DDC congratulated all the participants and exhorted them to make sports as part of their daily routine. He said Samba Administration has been organising various programme under BBBP to celebrate the Birth of Girl and promote Girl education. He asked the department of youth Services and sports to organised sports events on regular intervals.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra; District Social Welfare Officer Deep Raj, District Information Officer Ajay Sharma, besides other officers and officials were also present.
