DC Budgam inspects Covid-19 vaccination sites across District.
Interacts and motivates public for Covid-19 Vaccination drive in District

Budgam May 26 (KINS): Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today inspected Covid-19 Vaccination sites set up across the District amid the 2nd wave of Covid-19 Pandemic.
During the surprise visit, the DC inspected various vaccination centres set up in the district to conduct aggressive vaccination for the age group 18 to 44 with full enthusiasm and proactiveness. The DC inspected vaccination sites at Ichgam, Gudsutho, Arigam and also visited Covid-19 wellness Centre PHC Kremshore.
The DC took an opportunity to interact with the public at Budgam town and shopkeepers at Kremshore. He motivated the public and urged them to actively participate in COVID-19 vaccination drive. The DC reiterated that vaccination drive is very critical to win war against COVID-19 pandemic and appealed General public not to hesitate and come forward and get vaccinated at an earliest.
The DC said that, Vaccination program has been kick started for the age group 18 to 44 in which priority is given to Service providers including Shopkeepers, Transporters, Construction workers, lawyers, journalists, Widows, orphans.
On the occasion, DC hailed the efforts of the Health Department and other concerned line departments who have shown utmost dedication, commitment and responsibility in fighting war against COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking strong note of dereliction of duties by some concerned officials, the DC directed them to be strongly involve in mobilization of the public for vaccination. The DC also directed all concerned staff of line departments including Health, Revenue, Social welfare, Education, Municipality to remain proactive and ensure successful drive of Covid-19 vaccination across the district. The DC also directed concerned SDMs to rigorously involve their staff in massive mobilization of the public for  Covid-19 vaccination program in the district. (KINS)
