Srinagar July 31 (KINS): Despite availability of officers in Revenue Department, people have been facing immense inconveniences as a single Naib Tehsildar has been assigning multiple charges.

Kashmir Indepth News Services (KINS) has received complaints from across Kashmir that general public is suffering because of non-availability of revenue officers on ground.

“A single Naib-Tehsildar has been given three to four naibats in charge and due to this overburden  people are suffering especially at this juncture new appointees/students suffer more as in class IVth Document varification’s various certificates are to be obtained from Revenue Department such as No-Employment Certificate,Orphan Certificate etc which  take several days for completion as  Single Naib-Tehsildar has to look after  more than one naibat’s,” Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Batamaloo said.

Another local from Sopore said, “Although the department has adequate number of trained Officers available, but instead of being in field they have been kept at the disposal of Div Com’s / FC’s. We appeal to LG Adminstration to look into the matter as general public is badly suffering due to dearth of Naib Tehsildars in the field,” he added. (KINS)
