JAMMU, Sept 29 ( KINS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari said political parties are responsible for creating wedge between the people of Jammu and Kashmir regions for political gains.
However, the Apni Party will continue its fight against such divisive politics for the unity and equality of the two regions, said Altaf Bukhari.
He was speaking in a joining programme in which nearly 100-youth and student leaders led by prominent student/youth leader Partpal Singh Jamwal today joined Apni Party in his presence.
Jamwal was accompanied by nearly 100-youth which included several elected presidents of colleges, a contesting candidate of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Bhannu Partap Singh Goria, and others.
Welcoming them into the party, Altaf Bukhari said that the joining of youth shows the Party has won trust of the people especially youth and students in Jammu.
He asked the youth to take the message of the Apni Party among the people.
“We believe in the equality of both the regions. The issues and aspirations of youth across J&K are the same with regard to employment, development, peace and prosperity.”
He said that it was Apni Party’s Jammu leadership which raised the public’s concerns most and worked for the redressal of the issues being faced by the traders, transporters, youth and students in Jammu.
“Whether it was the issue of Darbar Move, sand and stone extraction, exploitation of natural resources by outsiders, our party leaders raised their voice for the people of Jammu,” he said.
He further said that “Apni Party believes both the regions should be developed equally and end the differences. However, other political parties have created a wedge between Jammu and Kashmir for their political gains.”
“We believe in unity of the people and equal treatment to both the regions. We do not believe in dividing people. This ideology has no place in our party,” he said while addressing the youth, several elected college presidents who joined the Apni Party.
He said that when other political parties failed to redress issues of Jammu as well as Kashmir people, they resorted to spreading hatred against Kashmir in Jammu, and in Kashmir against Jammu.
“This politics of hate will end,” he said and said the Darbar Move had provided an opportunity to the people of two regions to come close to each other and share cultural values.
He said that “The Darbar Move, not only increased business, but mutual respect, too. It was the reason that the people enjoyed cordial relations. An attempt has been made to hurt the relations again with the ending of Darbar Move practice which shall not be tolerated.”
He again said that if the Apni Party comes to power, they will restore the Darbar Move practice.
Meanwhile, Apni Party General Secretary, Vijaya Bakaya General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh, Provincial Vice President Syed Asgar Ali, Provincial President, Women Wing, Jammu, Namrta Sharma, Provincial Secretary, Shanker Singh Chib, State Vice President, Youth Wing, and Media Coordinator, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, among others were also present.( KINS)
