DC Gbl reviews status of ongoing vaccination of above 18 years

Directs for expediting vaccination to cover the remaining population

GANDERBAL, SEPT 30  ( KINS) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting of Health department and designated nodal officers for vaccination at Mini-Secretariat here to review the status of ongoing vaccination drive of above 18 years in the district.

At the outset, the CMO informed the DC that over 79 percent of the population above 18 years of age are given the first vaccination dose and over 37 percent of the population are also administered 2nd dose.

The DC reviewed the progress of vaccination block wise, status of vaccination sites, availability of manpower and also discussed the issues being faced by the vaccination teams while conducting the vaccination in their respective blocks.

While reviewing the progress, the DC directed the CMO to mobilise their field staff to expedite the vaccination so that 100 percent of the population of over 18 years is vaccinated at an earliest.

The nodal officers were directed to take feedback from the BMOs regularly about the progress achieved on daily targets and resolve issues faced by the vaccination teams in real time.

The meeting was attended by ADC, CPO, CMO, GM, DIC, DFO, Dy. CEO and others concerned. ( KINS)
