Crisis in J&K need political, not military solution: Mehbooba Mufti

SRINAGAR , NOV 10 ( KINS) People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that the crisis in Jammu and Kashmir needs a political and not a military solution.

Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti made remarks a day after it was announced by the Home Ministry that over 5, 500 additional Central Armed Police Forces personnel will be deployed to Kashmir amid a spike in targeted civilians. Taking to Twitter handle, Mehbooba said, “Even after converting J&K into a military garrison, additional troops are being brought to Kashmir. Whatever little breathing space people have here is being choked & taken over all under the pretext of security. The crisis in J&K needs a political & not a military solution”.( KINS)
