Armys Dagger Division chaired conclave to eradicate drug menace among youth of Baramulla

 

Srinagar, Dec 7 (KINS)  In an initiative by the Indian Armys Dagger Division a conclave to eradication of drug menace among the youth and to channelise them towards the education, sports and better future a conclave was held at Sheher-e-Khas of old town Baramulla on Tuesday.

Maj Gen Ajay Chandpuria, GOC Dagger Division chaired the Conclave, described to be the yet another step by Indian Army to strengthen the “Awaam Army” Connect.

Srinagar based Defence spokesman of Army Col Emron Musavi said, that an interactive session with stakeholders of awam of Baramulla, was organised on Tuesday during which among others Mohalla Presidents, Maulvis and other important stakeholders of Sheher-e-Khas Old Town Baramulla participated who in depth interacted during the session.

The aim of the event was to have an in-depth interaction with all the important stakeholders in the society including maintenance of hygiene and sanitation, development projects for Old Town, eradication of drug menace amongst the youth, channelising the youth towards education, sports and shaping the nascent minds for better future and peace were the key take away points of the event.

Apart from the locals, civil administration representatives including the Education Department, PHE, Electricity Department, Police, Municipal Council and other welfare organisations  also participated in the event and apprised about the haardship faced by the Awaam.( KINS)
