ADGP Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K chairs review meeting

 

Jammu, December 13 ( KINS):  A review meeting of Homeguard/ Civil Defence & SDRF J&K was convened by  Danesh Rana, ADGP Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K  at its headquarter here Today.

The meeting was attended by Shri Vikas Gupta, Director Homeguards Jammu, Nisha Nathyal Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu,  G. L. Sharma SSP Staff Officer to Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K and other gazetted and non-gazetted officers.

The functioning of the organization was discussed in the meeting. The officers highlighted the achievements as well as tasks of the organization.

The Commandant General emphasized upon a joint strategy to be adopted by the officers of three wings to have fruitful results and achieve the aims of the organization while responding and mitigating disasters in challenging situations. The officers were directed to increase capacity building programmes and devise specialized training programmes to be imparted to Police Personnel and other stakeholders so that they may also contribute while responding to disasters and other emergency situations. A detailed audit of equipment in the stock of SDRF was also discussed. The HG/CD and SDRF personnel were directed to remain in a state of high alert in view of the impending snow and winter season.
