President Droupadi Murmu Presents Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Srinagar, Jan 22: President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar upon 19 children during a ceremony in New Delhi today. Acknowledging outstanding achievements, one child each in Bravery, Science & Technology, and Innovation; four in Social Service; five in Sports; and seven in Art and Culture were honored.
Addressing the gathering, the President emphasized that the award ceremony recognizes and encourages the remarkable potential and talent of young achievers. She commended the children for their outstanding contributions and stressed the importance of guiding the youth towards utilizing their talents and energy effectively.
President Murmu highlighted the versatile talents of Indian children and emphasized the need to channelize their potential through dedication and hard work. She expressed the belief that India’s youth, as an invaluable resource, can play a crucial role in global progress, provided they are equipped with the right skills.
Addressing the technological landscape, President Murmu cautioned about the misuse of technology, including crimes like deep fakes, financial fraud, and exploitation of children. She urged children to remain vigilant and avoid wrongful activities that could jeopardize their future.
Expressing concern about decreasing physical activities among the youth, the President encouraged them to engage in sports for physical and mental well-being. She emphasized the importance of sports in fostering team spirit and overall health.
President Murmu concluded by stating that children and youth are the future leaders of the country, and it is essential to impart knowledge of Indian culture and values alongside modern education. Referencing the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya, she called for adopting the ideals and values described in the Ramayana in daily lives.
