By: Danish
Srinagar, Feb 16: Six medical shops in Kelam, Agroo, Devsar, Brinal, and Lammar of Kulgam district were closed today by Drug Control Authorities for violating license conditions and government directives regarding CCTV and Computerized Billing Systems, as well as the issuance of cash memos/invoices.
Additionally, numerous other pharmacies underwent inspections, with statutory drug samples collected for quality analysis purposes.
Assistant Drug Controller Anantnag, leading the team of officers, emphasized that such inspections are conducted routinely as mandated by law. He reiterated the organization’s efforts to sensitize chemists towards adopting robust record-keeping systems and CCTV surveillance to prevent the misuse of essential life-saving scheduled formulations while adhering to license conditions.
