Anantnag Police Justify Detentions Amid Election Security Measures

Srinagar, May 25: Anantnag Police responded to allegations from a political party regarding the detention of their workers. The police in a post explained that detentions are minimal and only involve individuals with a questionable past or credible threats to law and order and security on polling day.
They highlighted that most detainees are Over Ground Workers (OGWs), taken into preventive custody to ensure a safe and peaceful election.
