Security Briefing Held in Bandipora Ahead of 3rd Phase of Legislative Assembly Elections

Srinagar, Sep 29 (KINS): A comprehensive security preparedness and briefing session was held today at the Auditorium in Bandipora, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta-JKPS. The session was attended by key officers from the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and the District Police, all gearing up for the 3rd phase of the Legislative Assembly elections.
SSP Mehta outlined the critical roles and responsibilities of the officers, focusing on the security landscape, law and order maintenance, and counter-terrorism measures. The briefing stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the upcoming elections.
Senior CAPF officers also addressed the attendees, offering additional guidance on election-related duties. The session was highly interactive, with officers raising various concerns, which were addressed by SSP Mehta, who assured full cooperation from the District Police to facilitate smooth operations during the election period.
The session was attended by Adhoc COs of CRPF, BSF, ITBP, Company Commanders of CAPF contingents, and District Police officers involved in election duty.(KINS)
