Srinagar, Oct 22 (KINS): In the aftermath of the tragic terrorist attack in Gagangeer, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary strongly condemned the brutal assault and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.

News agency KINS reported that offering his full support to the victims’ families, the Deputy CM assured that the government would provide all necessary assistance during this difficult time.

He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has deputed him to Jammu to oversee the last rites of Abrol, one of the victims of the attack, and promised to address the demands of the grieving family.

“Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Sahib had asked me to go to Jammu. I have just arrived here in the morning. You can also make a calculation from this on how serious the issue is. The Chief Minister has sent the Deputy Chief Minister and a Minister here to condole the family,” he said.

He confirmed that he had met with the family of one of the victims, a young man who tragically lost his life in the attack.

As a gesture of support, the Deputy Chief Minister said the demands of the victim’s family will be fulfilled and that the government would offer the victim’s wife a job to help support the family.

“We are going back to Srinagar. The Chief Minister has sent us here to get feedback. We have taken that feedback from the family.”
